Troy Family Daze returns Sept. 17–20 with a new main gate and a new parade route

A companion map guide for the Sept. 17–20 festival at the Troy Civic Center.
Read this first: the main gate has moved for 2026. It is now near the skate park on the Livernois side of the campus. If you have been to Family Daze before, this is not where you walked in last year.
The festival campus
Everything happens on the Troy Civic Center campus off Livernois Road — a cluster that includes the Community Center, the skate park, and the rink and pavilion. The addresses organizers publish are all within a few minutes' walk of one another, which is why the festival website uses several of them interchangeably.

For gate, stage, vendor and ride placement inside the grounds, organizers have posted an interactive layout map with a zoom control in the top left corner. That map is the authoritative source for what sits where once you are through the gate.
Parking
Organizers name the Liberty Center garage as the best place to park, with a free shuttle running from the garage to the front gate. Free parking is also available around the Troy Community Center, and the festival FAQ asks drivers to follow posted signage and volunteer directions on arrival.

The garage sits southeast of the campus on W. Big Beaver Road, marked as 4 on the map above. Open it in Google Maps for driving directions.
Oakland County Moms reports that the Liberty Center shuttle runs all four days, Thursday through Sunday. The same outlet mentions a second free shuttle at Motor City Church, but gives no days or times for it, and the festival website does not mention it at all. Confirm that one before relying on it.
The parade route
The parade returns Saturday, Sept. 19, with lineup at 8:30 a.m. and a 10 a.m. start at the Troy Community Center. The route is new this year: north on Livernois, west on Town Center Drive, then a loop back around the Community Center. Organizers estimate roughly a 15-minute walk end to end, which makes it a short, spectator-friendly route rather than a long march.

Route conflict, unresolved: the festival's parade page describes the above — a 10 a.m. start with 8:30 lineup at the Community Center, heading north on Livernois. Another outlet covering the festival describes a parade starting at Walsh College with a 9 a.m. lineup, heading south on Livernois, which is closer to how the parade has run before. Organizers also replaced the route map file on their site this week. Treat the official map as the only authority.
The Rotary Club of Troy hosts a pancake breakfast at the end of the route from 9:30 to 11 a.m., open to everyone. Parade awards go to Best Performance and Most Enthusiastic, first and second place in each.
Getting in
- Admission is $5 in cash or $7 by credit card. The welcome page says children 10 and under are free; the FAQ says under 10. Bring cash for a 10-year-old.
- Everyone pays, including parents of performers — admission is the fundraiser.
- Ride tickets are sold separately by the ride vendor.
- If you plan to leave and come back, get a wristband before you exit. The color changes daily, and there is no re-entry without one.
- Pets are not allowed on the grounds. Outside food, drinks and coolers are not permitted, and no alcohol.
- On-site seating is limited, with some green space alongside it.
