Constitution Cafe

What to Expect Constitution Cafés are an open discussion using the Socratic Method of inquiry to explore different aspects of the USA Constitution and Amendments each month. These open discussions are led by Oakland County lawyer John Kulesz, and civil discussion is prioritized to create a safe environment to ask questions. Inside the Church are pews and standard wooden chairs to sit during the presentation. The building has a ramp entrance and accessible bathrooms inside. Assisted listening devices are available, please ask a staff member if you would like to use one. September 13: The Declaration of Independence When does government stop working and it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands that hold us together? October 11: The Declaration of Independence In the words of Jefferson, we have "certain inalienable rights," and governments exist to secure those rights. Does it matter the form of government if those rights are secured? November 8: The Declaration of Independence Grievances and abuses required the Colonists to revolt. Are there 21st century grievances that require a new Declaration of the purposes of government?
