Go inside the Old Troy Church to check-in or purchase your ticket. If there are multiple people in your group, please be sure to arrive with your whole party and check-in under the name of the person who purchased the tickets. September 17: Hockeytown at 100: Years of the Detroit Red Wings Explore the triumphs and traditions of the Detroit Red Wings – one of the most storied franchises in the National Hockey League – with Cory Nummer, Ilitch Companies/Detroit Red Wings. Discover how legendary players, fierce rivalries, and passionate fans made Hockeytown a household name. October 15: Heaven on Earth: Utopian Societies of the 19th Century Dissatisfied with mainstream society, tens of thousands of Americans turned to over 100 utopian societies looking for a better way of life in the 19th century. Learn from Alex Konieczny, THV Youth Programs Director, about some notable societies including the Harmonites, Shakers, and Oneida, and why they were so widespread. November 12: The Lost Stories of the Holidays Best-selling author, Laurie Chandlar, will transport you to a variety of places and times to find the true holiday events that changed the course of history. Based on research for her novel releasing this Thanksgiving, you’ll hear about many amazing stories including the first Rockefeller Christmas tree in 1931, the feisty St. Nick who began the ancient tradition of Christmas stockings, and so many more.
