The Ridgedale Players’ junior actors will perform “The Big One-Oh, Jr.” on October 16-18 and October 23-25 at 205 W. Long Lake Road. Based on a book by Dean Pitchford, the musical follows Charley Maplewood, a horror comic fan who struggles to make real-life friends while dealing with his parents' divorce. To celebrate his 10th birthday, Charley attempts to throw a horror-themed party with the help of his imaginary monster friends. Director Kelley Donnelly describes the production as a story about family and the challenges of growing up. The young cast includes Taylor Fiebig as Alien, Maria Xydas as Charley's sister Lorena, and Emelia Risdale as Jennifer Mobley. Tickets for the performances are approximately $20 and are available at ridgedaleplayers.com.
