The Troy Historic Village holds its Handcrafted fair and the library's Bookmobile turns two Saturday, Sept. 26, the Troy Farmers Market runs Wednesday, Sept. 30, and author Veronica Roth speaks at the library Thursday, Oct. 1. Saturday, September 26

The Troy Historic Village holds Handcrafted: A Traditional Trades and Crafts Fair 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with craftspeople at work around the village. General admission applies: $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and youth 6-17, and free for children under 6 and Troy Historical Society members.

The Troy Public Library's Bookmobile turns two at the Bookmobile Birthday Bash, 2-4 p.m. at Raintree Park; the listing says it is open to all ages with no registration. A Family Scavenger Hunt starts at Raintree Park at 2 p.m.

CenterPeace Healing and Events Center holds The Great Eastern Sun: A Meditative Sound Journey into Basic Goodness, which combines gentle movement, guided mindfulness and live ambient music, and a Candlelight Sound Bath. The Magic Soiree: The Late Soiree plays Embassy Suites by Hilton Detroit Troy Auburn Hills. Troy's own calendar lists nothing but school games for Friday, Sept. 25.

CenterPeace holds a Guided Meditation Journey Sunday, Sept. 27, and Vuori Somerset hosts ACTV Studio IRL: Vuori Somerset x HOT BONES Detroit.

Monday, Sept. 28, a Red Cross Blood Drive runs at 10 a.m. at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois. Troy City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 W. Big Beaver Road.

Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the library: That's SEW Cool: Tween Embroidery Club at 5 p.m. and the Detroit History Club's talk on the Nain Rouge, “Detroit's Infamous Red Dwarf of French Folklore,” at 7 p.m. A second Family Scavenger Hunt starts at Raintree Park at 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 30, the Troy Farmers Market runs 3-7 p.m. at Stine Community Park; its listing gives the season as June 10 through Sept. 30. The library's Culture Series: Oktoberfest starts at 6 p.m., and Not Online Dating holds a speed dating and singles mixer for ages 55 and up at Shield's Restaurant Bar Pizzeria on West Maple Road.

Thursday, October 1

The library holds All Ages Storytime at 10 a.m., a 2027-2028 FAFSA Workshop at 6 p.m., and, at 7 p.m., both TPL Author Talks: Veronica Roth and Family Storytime.

Friday, October 2 – Saturday, October 3

Baby Play meets at the library Friday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, the Troy Nature Society's photo club leads Photo Walks 8-10 a.m. at the Stage Nature Center; registration is required, the fee is $2, free for members, and the listing gives it as open to all ages. The library follows with Saturday Family Storytime at 10:30 a.m. and Pumpkins with Character! at 1 p.m.

The Troy Public Library's Bookmobile makes 13 other stops across the city, and the library lists recurring Smart Space, Talk Time conversation club, Tutor Time and donation drop-off sessions. The other 84 listings from Sept. 25 through Oct. 3 are Troy High School and Athens High School games — football, volleyball, soccer, golf, tennis, swimming and cross country. Sunday, Sept. 27 — the Lions host the Jets at Ford Field, 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 29-30 — Comerica Park is listed for the Tigers' AL Wild Card home games 1 and 2, opponent to be determined.
